I am proud to let you know that Camp Misquah is an official charity in the ScotiaBank Charity Challenge at Ottawa Race Weekend. This means that on May 28th/29th, runners can participate in the various races (5k, 10k, half marathon, marathon) at the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend while raising funds for Camp Misquah. We have set a fund-raising target of $20,000. All money raised go directly to support the camp programs and the awesome experiences we provide. Please join on the weekend. It is an exciting time with over 45,000 runners in the events—be one of them and make it extra special by raising funds for Camp Misquah.
If you are running on Race Weekend, it is simple to register and then become Team Misquah Runner to raise funds for the camp. All Team Misquah Runners will be provided with a Camp Shirt which can be worn at the Race. In addition, every team member raising over $100 by May 1st will be put in a draw for a free pair of running shoes or a $35 Running Room gift card (more prizes may be added closer to the Race). If you don’t want to run, you can always sponsor a runner or our team. Electronic tax receipts are issued for all donations over $10. The link below leads to both options:

The Misquah Recreational Group is a non-profit organization that provides residential summer programs for children and adults with special needs. Each summer our program provides a memorable vacation to a population that has access to few programs of our type. Many of our clients are financially restricted so we make every effort to offer our programs at the lowest cost possible and provide financial subsidies where needed. For this reason, fundraising is one of the biggest mandates of our volunteer Board of Directors.
We are excited to announce our Misquah Spring Fling – 8th Annual Lunch and Silent Auction to be held Sunday, June8th from 11:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Lonestar Texas Grill near St. Laurent. Our afternoon will include a buffet lunch, live music and a silent auction. As a member of our community, we’re asking for your help to make this event a success.
You can help in a number of ways:
A financial donation to the success of our event
Purchasing a ticket to attend our event (Adults $25.00 / Under 10 $15.00)
